About Robert L. Bryant Jr. (Founder/President of Mutivation Youth Services Since 2005)

Robert, is an Award-Winning Behavioral Modification Specialist who has influenced positive change in the lives of thousands throughout the world. From having a career performing and recording with platinum selling music artist to counseling behaviors in the Superior Courts. Robert truly understands the need for positive change and motivation. He has dedicated his life to serving others. Currently, Robert is a counselor at Ironwood State Prison and Executive Director of Mutivation Youth Services. With over 12-years of service in Behavioral Counseling, Robert’s desire is truly to “Motivate The Human Race To Reach Higher Heights”

Robert “Smoov” Bryant Jr began his music career as a musician playing the keyboard and drums for Los Angeles and Inland Empire churches. He later began his professional career singing background vocals for R&B greats Jon B, Chico Debarge, and Loose Endz. Signing management with Elite Entertainment, Hollywood’s premier club promoters Ted Dozier and Curtis Mitchell took Robert to success. Robert shared the stage with some of R&B’s elite artist such as Rahsaan Patterson, Mint Condition, Aaron Hall, Blu Cantell, Dave Hollister, Deborah Cox, Brian McKnight, Robin Thicke, and many other mainstream artists.

He later went on to music direct, music produce, and write for R&B and Hip Hop award winners Jesse Powell, NEXT, Cuba Gooding Sr., J Boog and LiL Fizz of B2K, and Money B of Digital Underground/ 2 Pac. Catching the eye of Legendary Multi-Grammy Award Winnning Music Producer Teddy Riley, Robert and childhood friend Michael Marcy were offered a production contract which they later declined.

Robert had a desire to continue his education and was offered a music scholarship at Cal Baptist University (Riverside, CA). He gladly accepted, and it was there that he made plans to own an organization that would service the community’s needs. While doing music part-time he was employed as a counselor for various social service organizations. Robert has held positions as a Substance Abuse Counselor as well as a Mental Heath Specialist. He later explored options in The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and was hired as a Behavioral Modification Counselor. Within the department he was promoted to organize and instruct different programs such as gang intervention, parenting, and even a music program. Later promoted to assist on the Corrections Board of Prison Terms. In addition Robert is an active facilitator of Anger Management, Co-Parenting/ Parenting, Domestic Violence, CPR/AED, and is a licensed Armed Officer.

Now with a well-rounded knowledge of social needs Robert has founded, developed, and organized Mutivation Youth Services. MYS mission is to provide self help programs and outreach services to our communities at either no cost or low cost. MYS vision is to become an elite provider in self motivation. MYS currently offers programs for youth, adults, families, and community outreach. With this musical talent along with several years as a counselor, he has joined his two passions to try and make a difference in the lives of others.
